It is a screenshot taken in the latest scenario to be made as I test it for durability, signal problems and all sorts of other issues. In this scenario, you drive this deltic on almost all of the route's track calling at just 4 (out of about 70 in the route) stations on this tightly-scheduled 142 mile (229 km) trip. Is 2 hours 50 minutes too long for a scenario like this? Thoughts in a comment please!

No, definetly not, I think the one thing Railworks is lacking is scenarios that are similar to a full shift. On flight simulator you'd fly for 2 or 3 hours, with the potential for a flight of 12 hours!
ReplyDeleteRailworks just lacks BIG scenarios. I think you could go as far as 4 hours.... (that's why they invented the save button)
Thanks for the input, I enjoyed running the scenario. Although there was no AI, the schedule was quite tough as it is. With a lot more work I'm sure I could transform it into something special! I agree with your comments about the lack of larger scenarios, it's a shame really.
ReplyDeleteI'm making sure that between my scenarios, there will be something for everyone.
i think a full shift is really good (so one thats a few hours long) however i think there should be a few more station stops put in, but thats my point of veiw!
ReplyDeleteit does sound awesome though!
Thank you Zach and Chan, I have always shared the same view as you. From the looks of things in various forums, people do appreciate realistic and proper shifts. Expect to see a couple of 2-3 hour plus scenarios in its release. Without your input, there would only have been one if any.
ReplyDeletealmost 3 hours for such a wonderfull route?
ReplyDeleteNO!
I enjoyed the 2+ hours scenario on the dublin - cork route, so a 2½+ hours scenario on this route would feel like one hour.
The more variation and things to look at while roaming through the landscape, the shorter the time would feel.
Take care and keep up the superb work!
